SUMMARY

Coordinate customs release and delivery of import shipments.
  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates services for import shipments in a timely manner:
  • Trace and arrange shipping, if needed, from basic information received.
  • Secure shipping documents and determines services needed.
  • Determine charges due and who is responsible.
  • Refer to and update customer master file as needed.
  • Process shipment and arrange pickup as needed.
  • Keep customer informed of shipment status.
  • Prepares and processes import documents (ABI and non-ABI functions); processes TOC billing and forward entry summary documents; close out files.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
